I John 3:13 **MARVEL NOT**, my brethren, IF **THE WORLD** HATE YOU. John 15:18 If **THE WORLD** hate you, ye know that it HATED ME BEFORE IT HATED YOU. John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you OUT of the world, therefore **THE WORLD** HATETH YOU. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. IN **THE WORLD** YE SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and **THE WORLD** HATH HATED THEM, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT OF THE WORLD, EVEN AS I AM NOT OF THE WORLD. Matthew 10:22 And YE SHALL BE **HATED** OF ALL MEN for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and YE SHALL BE **HATED** OF ALL NATIONS for my name's sake. ****ITS OWN LANGUAGE**** Language, n. The speech peculiar to a particular nation. As a result of Babel, there are many different languages spoken in the earth today--Swahili, Spanish, English, Swiss, Dutch, Afrikaans, etc. But IN REALITY there are only two kingdoms--each with its own language--the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the world. The world speaks "World" and worldlings can hear them-- 1 John 4:5 THEY ARE OF THE WORLD: THEREFORE **SPEAK THEY OF THE WORLD**, AND THE WORLD **HEARETH** THEM. ...I am from the United States of America. I can easily communicate with somebody from California or Tennessee. But get me talking to a Russian and I am at a loss. As Paul would say, he is a barbarian (foreigner) to me and I am a barbarian to him. We can't understand each other's language. Well, the children of God's kingdom speak God's word. If somebody is speaking the oracles of God, I can hear them just fine because I am in that system. I am easily engaged by kingdom talk. But when someone is speaking to me from the world's perspective, I can't understand them. I'm praying for my opportunity to change the conversation or leave it. Conversely, worldlings don't want to hear me, either. We are barbarians (strangers/foreigners) to each other. It's about time that Christians understood the language barriers between these two kingdoms. Then we'd stop letting our feelings get hurt when people can't hear us-- I John 4:6 WE ARE OF GOD: HE THAT KNOWETH GOD **HEARETH US**; HE THAT IS NOT OF GOD **HEARETH NOT** US. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. John 8:47 HE THAT IS OF GOD **HEARETH** GOD'S WORDS: YE THEREFORE **HEAR THEM NOT**, BECAUSE YE ARE NOT OF GOD. What else can we make of this doctrine? When you want to witness to an unbeliever about the Lord, PRAY that He will open up their ears so that they can hear and understand you. Even as you are talking, be praying in your mind and asking the Lord to give you some compassion on their plight. THEY ARE ON THEIR WAY TO HELL. Just as the world has its own language, so do the children of God. We can hear and understand the voice of the Lord Jesus. King Jesus said-- John 18:37 ...EVERY ONE THAT IS OF THE TRUTH **HEARETH** MY VOICE. John 10:27 MY SHEEP **HEAR** MY VOICE, AND I KNOW THEM, AND THEY FOLLOW ME: John 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS. Friend, who can YOU hear today? And WHO can hear you? Worldings or saints? What engages you--worldly, carnal talk or Biblical, sanctified talk? What activities and thoughts make you excited and what makes you bored? If you're not sure, make a list. Write down your interests and your friends on a piece of paper. Look at it. It won't take long to see what realm you are moving in. Many worldlings call themselves Christians, ref. Matt 7:22-23. If YOU are in bad shape today, repent, believe the gospel, obey it and ask God to make you DEAF to the world and PERCEPTIVE to His word. ****SAINTS ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD**** We are in the world, but we are not OF the world. King Jesus said to the Father-- John 17:16 They are NOT of **the world**, EVEN AS I AM NOT OF THE WORLD. "But we have to live in this world!" When people say that I know that they are either completely disobedient or perilously close to being so. Yes, I live in this world amongst unbelievers, but praise be to God, I'M SEPARATE FROM THEIR WAYS. I've been SEVERED from them that I might be holy unto God (Lev 20:26). I am in the kingdom of God. I try to lead unregenerates into God's kingdom, but they do not sway me to come into their kingdom. John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. Many professed Christians are not separated from the world because they are of the world. They are children of disobedience that call themselves Christians. They are not fooling God. He knows how to separate between wheat and chaff, cattle and cattle, wheat and tares. I am not of this world--I am dead to it-- Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom THE WORLD IS CRUCIFIED UNTO ME, AND I UNTO THE WORLD. When we receive the true gospel, we don't make excuses for worldliness. We are DEAD to the world just like we were once DEAD to God. "You're self-righteous!" No, you don't understand the power of the gospel. When I believed the gospel report, the Spirit of God regenerated me so that I could see God and His ways. Just as I once chose to live as a fornicator, a liar and a fool, I NOW HAVE THE POWER TO CHOOSE WHAT IS RIGHT. I did not have that option as an unregenerate. It is the power of God that has established me in HIS righteousness and holiness. He has regenerated me, cleansed my once defiled mind, and given me a desire to glorify Him. And it is because of this new mind, that children of obedience WAR AGAINST SIN in spite of the flesh. And AS we war, sin becomes a HATED thing. King Jesus was CRUCIFIED for sin. How can I then accept sin? I can't. ONE act of DISOBEDIENCE got man kicked out of Eden. Sin made this world a waste howling wilderness. All kinds of torture, death, famine, plague, devil possession, whoredom, sickness, lying, hurt, pain, and death BECAUSE OF SIN. SIN IS THE CULPRIT. The overspreading of SIN is another defining characteristic of these last days (more in a later email, Lord willing). II Thessalonians 2:3 calls the coming world ruler "the man of SIN". And SINners will love him. If you are walking in SIN and see his day, you will love him too--no matter how many warnings you read concerning him. The difference between people in these last days will remain the same-- obedient versus disobedient, holy versus unholy. Many church people are disobedient, yet claim to be saved. Salvation is not based on what you say, it is based on the reality of what you are--obedient or disobedient to the gospel of Jesus Christ (ref. Heb 5:9). ****DON'T LOVE THE WORLD**** If you love this world, YOU DON'T HAVE THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IN YOU-- 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. IF ANY MAN LOVE THE WORLD, THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IS NOT IN HIM. 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that **DOETH** THE WILL OF GOD abideth for ever. If YOU are a friend of this world, you are a traitor, an adulterer/adulteress, and God's enemy-- James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the FRIENDSHIP OF THE WORLD IS ENMITY WITH GOD? WHOSOEVER THEREFORE WILL BE A FRIEND OF THE WORLD IS THE **ENEMY** OF GOD. Learn how to HATE your life in this world-- John 12:25 "He that loveth his life shall lose it; and HE THAT HATETH HIS LIFE IN **THIS WORLD** SHALL KEEP IT unto life eternal." I'll give you the key to hating the world--OBEY GOD. If you have always walked lukewarm and careless, you're probably basing your salvation on the fact that you said a prayer (or repeated it after somebody). That is not salvation. You have to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus ****AND BELIEVE IN THINE HEART**** THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD **AND THEN** THOU SHALT BE SAVED. If you really BELIEVE the gospel, SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU. You'll start OBEYING the precepts of the gospel. You'll be a NEW creature. Oh, you won't get everything right overnight, but the Holy Ghost will start convicting you of your sins and that you need to do RIGHT. AND YOU WILL LISTEN AND START DOING RIGHT...We are talking about the sanctifying work of the Holy Ghost. THE HOLY GHOST WILL MAKE YOU HOLY... You may not want to stop watching Baywatch and Sci-Fi channel, BUT STOP IT BECAUSE THEY DISHONOUR GOD. You may not want to forgive your brother that wronged you BUT DO IT BECAUSE GOD WON'T FORGIVE YOU (Matthew 6:15). You may not to submit to your husband BUT DO IT BECAUSE GOD SAID DO IT. Righteous means RIGHT with God's word. Your life will start lining up with the scriptures and as a result, SO WILL YOUR MIND. You will literally begin to HATE your life in this world. You will HATE the world's system. It will be an abomination to you. When you become a sanctified, consecrated/separated witness unto God, it is like taking a good bath and being cleansed. Then when somebody offers you this world's system it is like an offering to come swim in feces and urine. Many professed Christians have no problem with the world's entertainments. That is AWFUL and a sure sign that they are a friend of the world. If this is you, be VERY concerned. ****BECOME A FOOL**** If you seem to be making your way along in this world and everybody likes you and you know how to keep a worldly conversation going, you need to be concerned. If you are wise in this world, YOU NEED TO BECOME A FOOL THAT YOU MAY BE WISE-- 1 Corinthians 3:18-19 Let no man **DECEIVE** himself. IF ANY MAN AMONG YOU SEEMETH TO BE WISE IN THIS WORLD, LET HIM **BECOME A FOOL, THAT HE MAY BE WISE**. For THE WISDOM OF THIS WORLD IS FOOLISHNESS WITH GOD. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. Forget about, "I have a high IQ", "I drive a fancy car", "I'm a college graduate", etc. What does that have to do with the kingdom of God? We need to start rejecting all the foolishness that we have loaded up in our heads from the world. Then God's word can replace it with wisdom. We need to start caring about WHAT GOD THINKS ABOUT US instead of what man thinks about us. What does God think about YOU right now at this moment? Is HE pleased and happy with you, your thoughts and your ways? FORGET man's approval and start loving God's approval. CURSED be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD (ref Jer 17:5). ****THE DECEIVERS ARE FRIENDS**** We've looked at three deceivers--the flesh, the devil, and the world. These three deceivers are not unfriendly with each other. In fact, they TRY to join hands. **MY OWN FLESH THAT IS ATTACHED TO ME** STILL WANTS PARTNERSHIP WITH SIN. Paul says that although I delight in the law of God after the INWARD man, THERE IS A ANOTHER LAW IN MY MEMBERS (physical body) that wants to bring me into captivity to the law of sin and death (Ro 7:23). The devil knows this. He knows that you are saved, but he also knows that your flesh wants sin. So he and the world entice the flesh. That's why hellivision is the way it is--sitcoms with wives and children rebelling against husbands and fathers, whoredom, cursing, envy, malice, murder, covetousness, greed, luxuries, lying, etc. People who watch it are not only ABUSING their own spirit but their children's spirits. Teenage rebellion, worldliness, pregnancy, etc. should not be the norm in a Christian home--yet church kids have the same nasty stats as unchurched kids. Hellivision VERY SUCCESSFULLY brings together, the flesh, the devil and the world--(1) THE DEVIL inspiring script writers and sitting in homes, influencing people, while shows are being broadcasted, (2) THE WORLD/SORCERERS (called actors) working their entertainment magick, and (3) THE FLESH (a man) sitting on the living room couch. All three enemies are together like this for MANY hours each day. Then after the man has watched all the hell that he can muster, he drags himself to bed and maybe mumbles a prayer as he lays there, maybe not. I remember one of the last times that I watched hellivision. The Lord had already communicated to me that hellivision is evil but I would watch it with my husband under the pretense of wanting to spend at least some time with him (things were not good between us). Well, one night I was at home alone and turned on a cop show (I believe). I had no excuse for watching it. But as I sat there, I FELT LIKE THE DEVIL WAS IN THE ROOM WITH ME. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. The Lord pulled back that invisible curtain so that I could discern THAT I WAS INTERCOURSING WITH THE DEVIL when I watched hellivision. "Hogwash!" someone may say. You're so anesthesized by sin that you can't even identify the devil. Hellivision is a narcotic. NARCOTIC, n. A drug which STUPEFIES THE SENSES and renders INSENSIBLE to pain; hence, a drug which INDUCES SLEEP; a soporific; and opiate. Much of the Christian life is us being rended away from what we are by nature...So not only are we warring against the rulers of the darkness of this world, but also against the corruptions that still lie within our own flesh. ****A MORE PERSONAL WAR**** Christians are also at WAR with their own flesh. Your own body will try to rise up against you and take you back into the bondage of sin. In Romans 7:23, Paul says, "I DELIGHT in the law of God after the inward man: BUT I SEE ANOTHER LAW IN MY MEMBERS, **WARRING** against the law of my mind, and BRINGING ME INTO CAPTIVITY TO THE LAW OF SIN WHICH IS IN MY MEMBERS." James also said that there is a WAR in our MEMBERS-- James 4:1 FROM WHENCE come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of YOUR lusts that **WAR** in **YOUR** MEMBERS? 4:2 YE LUST, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and WAR, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 4:3 YE ASK, AND RECEIVE NOT, BECAUSE YE ASK AMISS, THAT YE MAY CONSUME IT UPON **YOUR LUSTS**. He goes on to say that your own lust will make you a friend of the world and THE ENEMY OF GOD-- James 4:4 YE ADULTERERS AND ADULTERESSES, KNOW YE NOT THAT THE FRIENDSHIP OF THE WORLD IS ENMITY WITH GOD? WHOSOEVER THEREFORE WILL BE A FRIEND OF THE WORLD IS **THE ENEMY OF GOD**. 4:5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, THE SPIRIT THAT DWELLETH IN US LUSTETH TO ENVY? Peter weighs in on the matter too. He exhorts us to ABSTAIN from our own FLESHLY LUSTS which **WAR** against our souls. I talk about hellivision a lot because it is a lust that many Christians have and it is perverting their judgment, their mind, and, worst of all, grieving the Holy Ghost. The church people have no strength because they are giving it, and their children, to the devil. We need to WAR against fleshly lusts like hellivision-- 1 Peter 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from FLESHLY LUSTS, which **WAR** AGAINST THE SOUL; MUCH of the Christian life is being rended away FROM OURSELVES. We have many nasty habits and hidden corruptions to be purged out of us. As we cooperate with the sanctifying work of the Holy Ghost, we are changed. The Lord will work with you, but you have to cooperate with Him. Don't make excuses for sin. Be against all sin--even your own. In Matthew 11, King Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you". When I got saved I liken it to a wild horse walking into somebody's stable, getting out a saddle, and putting it on his back. Then he takes a steel bit and bridle, and places it in his mouth. Then he walks over to the landowner and is ready to be trained to be serviceable. I was like a wild animal, but when the Father drew me to the gospel of Jesus Christ, I put on the yoke of God's word. That steel bit may be tearing my self-will up, BUT I NEED IT, PRAISE GOD. THANK YOU, JESUS. PRAISE HIM. GLORY. Now that I am under the yoke, I have strength and freedom, whereas I was weak and abused before. Antinomians tell you that Christians have no control over their sinning. They [antinomians] handle the word of God DECEITFULLY by ONLY addressing those scriptures that seem to support turning the grace of God into lasciviousness...We started this out this segment with Romans 7:23 in order to make our point about remaining corruption. But the word does not leave us there as hopeless sinners, always sinning and living like the world. You have to read on down into chapter 8 where we learn that we have been made **FREE** FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is **FREED FROM SIN**. Romans 6:18 BEING THEN MADE **FREE FROM SIN**, YE BECAME THE **SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS**. Romans 6:20, 22 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. But now being made **FREE FROM SIN**, and become **SERVANTS TO GOD**, ye have your fruit unto HOLINESS, and the end everlasting life. Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me **FREE FROM THE LAW OF SIN** AND DEATH. Summary of the matter: The Lord Jesus came to save us FROM the fatal disease of sin (Matthew 1:21). When I got saved, my members (body parts) remained the same. And to this day, they STILL want to bring me into captivity to the "law of sin" (ref 7). But the Holy Ghost has freed me from the dominion of sin as I've cooperated with, and not resisted, His work. Many churches will preach about anything but holiness. That is Satanic. IF YOU ARE CONVINCED THAT LUKEWARM AND CARELESS IS THE NORMATIVE CHRISTIAN LIFE, YOU ARE UNDER GREAT DECEPTION. I suggest that you carefully read the entire book of Romans. And for those that don't have the inward eyes (looking upon your thoughts, motivations, perceptions, etc.), ask the Lord to turn the lights on for you. And ask Him to help you to bear up underneath the nasty revelations you'll find out about yourself.
